PDFs are opened and decrypted by your browser using the open-source qpdf engine compiled to WebAssembly. Nothing is uploaded, logged or stored by us.

Passwords

The password you type is used only inside your browser tab to open the file. It is never transmitted or saved.

Acceptable use

Only for files you have the right to open. This tool removes a password you already know or restrictions on your own documents; it cannot open files without the correct password.

Analytics and ads

We may add privacy-friendly analytics or advertising in the future. This policy will be updated before that happens.
