Some PDFs ask for a password every single time you open them, even when you have opened them a hundred times before. If you know the password and the document is yours to use, you can save a copy without it. Add the PDF, type the password once, and download a version that opens straight away on any device. Keep the original somewhere safe if you still need the protected copy.
Tips
- Store unlocked copies in a secure folder, since anyone with the file can now open it.
- Passwords are case-sensitive; check Caps Lock if it is rejected.
- Need to send it to someone else? Consider whether the password was there to protect them too.
